Skilling and capacity building is the prime objective of CEDSI which aims to evolve as a leading institution to assess and create skill development ecosystem in India and other countries to make dairy farming business productive and profitable to all strata of farmers. India's economy needs a steady supply of skilled workers to boost productivity and sustain growth momentum. The pace of learning in a country is critical to economic success. CEDSI shall provide best practices, capacity building, and training, which is the most important activity for skill development in any sector. The objective is to develop a skill ecosystem to make the dairy farmers future-ready.
TOT(Training of Trainers )
TOT (Training of Trainers) wherein a large pool of trainers aims to be developed for different categories of stakeholders like Ministries, Public and private sector dairy processing plants, corporate, and public sectors. These TOTs will be conducted for various stakeholders further to create community resource persons at village or cluster levels to make dairy farming more productive. Core Focused area for conducting ToT programs would be.
  • Animal health worker
  • AI for sexed semen
  • Food safety at primary production
  • Feed and Fodder
  • Calf rearing
Industrial Training
Dairy Industrial training will be provided to create career opportunities in the dairy supply chain area from the farm to the factory gate. Upskilling of the available resources shall also be considered as trained human resources, which would lead to an increase in operational efficiency. These programs will be conducted for the existing dairy processing plants and milk collecting agencies belonging to the public and private sectors. Major areas covered under these training will be as follows:
  • Village level collection centre in charge
  • Bulk milk cooler/ Chilling Centre technician in charge
  • Milk Input and Procurement Supervisor
  • Decision support/data analytics
Farmers Training
Farmers Training will disseminate knowledge and awareness to develop dairy entrepreneurs by imparting hands-on training to the progressive dairy farmers and budding entrepreneurs in dairy farming. These will be conducted as dairy entrepreneurship development programs in collaboration with progressive farms, demo-farms technology companies. Dairy entrepreneurs and progressive dairy farmers will be trained in the following areas:
